January 2024 LHR Internship Recipient

We are very proud to introduce the January 2024 LHR Internship Awardee Luke Schweickart. 

I'm Luke Schweickart, a senior B.S. Business Administration student at the University of Evansville, majoring in Management and Marketing. I was a student in Kathleen’s MGT 306 class on Human Resources Management last semester. She offered me the opportunity to intern with her business for the current semester, starting in January 2024, to gain practical experience in Human Resources.

So far at LHR, I’ve had the opportunity to update and create a number of Company Handbooks. Additionally, I’ve been involved with performing applicant screenings, and conducting employment interviews for clients. Most recently, Kathleen and I worked together conducting a comprehensive HR Audit with a client.

LHR works with companies in many different industries. This has given me “real world” HR experience beyond what a classroom could offer. I am looking into what a career in HR can offer, as I approach my December 2024 graduation at UE. Working with Kathleen and clients of LHR has provided me with HR experience and knowledge to help my career move forward.
